After my tea-towel extravaganza this weekend, I was in such a hurry to leave the house that I forgot to take photos of the pieced ones.
Here is the embroidered towel I gave my mother in-law. Don't you love the finger prints on my oven? Now you can see the evidence that I sew in lieu of cleaning house.
Pattern is from doe-c-doe, design 820.
I'm still finishing a second embroidered towel to give my mom this Saturday when I see her to celebrate mothers day late. Maybe I'll have my act together and will take photos of it!?

Where do you like to shop for yarn?
Well, it's complicated. LOL It depends on my mood. I love knit picks, but I'd also go to ewetopia till they closed. I think my favorite is Fiberworks in Beavercreek. She's a sweetheart. There's also a nice shop in downtown Richmond, IN. When I lived in Dayton, I liked Yarn and needle, and also Yarn Basket before they closed. Just depends on the project and the yarn. :)

ReplyDeleteYou Tube taught me how to embroider. You should totally try it. Buy some inexpensive muslin and embroidery floss and test a simple pattern. Let me know how it goes! :-)
