  6. It's gorgeous! Can I ask you a question? You've mentioned on this blog and in your Podcast you wake up very early to get in some quilting time, like 4 am? What time do you go to bed? I, like you, work f/t, and have a young daughter, +1 on the way. I just cannot seem to find the time to "create" as much as I'd like to. I may have to suck it up and get up an hour earlier (which would be 5 am) but I think it would take me 30 minutes of the hour just to prop open my eyes, much less get in creative mode. What's your secret? TIA!

  7. Thank you for the comments! You all made my day!

    @ Tanesha - in a word? caffeine! lot's of caffeine. :-)

Also - I try to go to bed before 10 each night so I get at least 5-6 hours of sleep. Any less than that, and I couldn't function. Give it a try for a week or two - takes some getting used to. Let me know how it goes!

  8. the quilt is lovely, it is on my list of quilts to make, along with the zig-zag and so many others. also your idea of getting up early to fit crafting in sounds great, i am thinking that i will try that, with being able to dvr shows i enjoy to watch later, i could even quilt while listening to "the view" or "oprah".

  9. The quilt is beautiful! I like the colors that you have in the quilt. It totally fits a princess room. Did you make the canopy as well?

  10. @boltonlane - No, I did not make the canopy. It came from Ikea. Love that store!
