I'm working on another dresden plate tablerunner, this time based on a pattern from Moda's Bake Shop.
Loving the Denyse Schmidt fabric.
Going was slow for a while. Picked myself up by the bootstraps this week and forced an early wake-up a couple of days to make progress. Very happy I did. It finally feels like it is coming together.
I plan to applique the plates tonight while watching the season finale of So You Think You Can Dance - my summer guilty pleasure! :-)
I love the border effect. Very striking! Great job!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I bought a special ruler to help square up the fabric - and I got perfect seams... finally!
ReplyDeleteLove it! I'm all set to make my first dresden plate quilt and I'm totally copying you (well, that border anyway (hope you don't mind! o:) Hopping on over to the Bake Shop right now.
ReplyDeleteI SO love those pops of orange in there!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Haha! my word verification was "unstsh". Unstash? Really? Even "word verification" is trying to tell me something!
@ Denise - Of course, I don't mind. Go for it!
ReplyDelete@ live a colorful life - Yes, sometimes the Universe does try to tell us things. Doesn't mean we have to listen. :-)
My goodness those dresden plates are stunning. I think I'm going to tackle one myself. Love your podcast!
ReplyDeleteThanks for listening, Susan! Would love to see pics of your Dresden when you do make it. Happy stitching!
