Thanks for listening!
I just listened to your podcast and you mentioned the Block of the Month with Fat Quarter Shop. I just finished the last block for their 2009/2010 BOM and I loved it. It's so much fun to get a block each month and it usually only takes an hour or two to make the block. I have not started putting the quilt together. The finishing kit includes a large star block in the center that I must make first. The only negative I have is that there is a lot of extra fabric provided. The smallest amount sent is 10" x 10" and one block I only needed one 1-7/8" square from the piece. But it is going to be a spectacular quilt. I think you would enjoy doing the block of the month.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the insights. I went ahead and made my reservation to participate and can't wait to receive the first package!
ReplyDeleteJust listened and found the information on the quilting bee fascinating. I do like to know where words come from! And I had never heard anything of the new form of a bee. Sounds like another version of a sew-along.
